Changing the uuid of a Virtualbox disk

You must use the Virtualbox management command, with parameter sethduuid – check the following command.

Another thing … you must create a new uuid to the disk, you can do this using a linux command uuidgen.

After you create a new uuid – for example – 043aee09-1f05-4018-8592-ada3b51fbbca

VBoxManage internalcommands  sethduuid path-and-filename-of-your-disk.vdi 043aee09-1f05-4018-8592-ada3b51fbbca
